TUESDAY'S Words of Encouragement--

"I can be changed by what happens to me.  But I refuse to be reduced by it."  Maya Angelou

Good Morning,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1.

Remember the Israelites in the wilderness?  In the Bible God supernaturally fed them on a daily basis by raining their food out of the heavens.  According to Exodus 16:14,15 they called it "manna."  Manna represents God's grace or ability to help us.  Like us, they wanted to make sure that they would have enough for tomorrow as well as today.  They wanted to have tomorrow taken care of just in case God forgot to be miraculous the next morning.  But God wanted them to learn how to live by faith, and He forbade them to collect more than they needed to live for one day at a time, except on the Sabbath.

Faith does not have to figure out the future.  Faith rests because it knows that God will deliver tomorrow's manna tomorrow.
